Application
A drop of the Al-Cu haemostatic agent is applied to the bleeding site with light pressure, using a saturated cotton pellet.
Separating layers of saliva or mucus significantly impair the effect, which is why direct contact with the bleeding site is essential.
In the event of bleeding in the root canal, a cotton thread or paper point saturated with Haemostatic Al-Cu establishes pressure contact.
Prior to touching inflamed areas in the oral cavity, these must be cleared of mucous layers by careful dabbing.

Ingredients
Aluminum chloride, Copper(II) chloride, Aqua dest.
Application example:
A 14-year-old adolescent presents with multiple carious lesions, some with circular caries and crown indications, resulting from excessive soft drink consumption and poor oral hygiene. Caries excavation leads to significant sulcular bleeding, which was controlled prior to the composite fillings.
Hemostasis was achieved using a cotton pellet saturated with Haemostatic Al-Cu. A slight contact pressure was required for this.
The effect of Haemostatic Al-Cu is based on rapidly diffusing aluminum and copper salts with small, quickly diffusing anions.
It acts as an astringent and, due to its copper doping, is germ-reducing.
Due to its low viscosity, it flows effectively into hard-to-reach areas.
As Haemostatic Al-Cu is water-based, there are no interactions with many impression materials.
